I couldn't put my finger on why...then I realized it stirred up my subconscious love of the Ferrari 512 TR design.

I really like the design.. They just totally ruined it with the drivetrain. I drove one a week ago and it was neat and quiet and blah blah.. but not $70k worth.
It would have made a great RWD turbo 4 cylinder to V8 luxury car or something.

Question: Is this car known more widely as the 512 or the Testa Rossa? I assume the 512 is for the displacement/arrangement, but I see this car and I call it a Testa Rossa. Which is more widely used in parlance?

Me too! Saw one last night at the DC auto show. But we made a different likeness to another Italian. Look at that window profile, that rear haunch, the pointy bit back towards the brake lights. Either way, awesome looking car.

512 TR is the actual model name after the '91 update and facelift.

I also think it looks pretty good. I feel like they should have thrown the C7s powerplant in it and made it decently light to give us the car that the XLR never was.
